About Firefly Jar
Firefly Jar is a gentle reflex game in a moonlit meadow. Fireflies drift in, glow for a few seconds and fade away. Catch as many as you can in 60 seconds — and catch them in a row to multiply your points.
How to play Firefly Jar
- Press Catch! under the meadow to start the 60-second timer.
- Click or tap a firefly to catch it before it fades. It goes into your jar.
- Every catch in a row raises your streak multiplier by one, up to ×6.
- Tapping a mosquito (🦟) or empty sky resets the streak to ×1. Mosquitoes are worth nothing.
- Fireflies drift faster as your score grows. When the time is up, the night is over.
Scoring
| Action | Points |
|---|---|
| ✨ Firefly | 10 × streak |
| 💛 Golden firefly | 40 × streak |
| 🦟 Mosquito | 0, streak back to ×1 |
| Tap on empty sky | streak back to ×1 |
Tips for a higher score
- The streak matters more than speed: a golden firefly at ×6 is worth 240 points, at ×1 only 40.
- Missed taps reset the streak too, so tap the firefly itself rather than near it.
- Fireflies fade in and out; the brightest ones have the most time left.
- Leave mosquitoes completely alone — they never give points.
